I just got a new computer built, downloaded the latest version of VIRL and installed everything on Windows 10, per the installation guides. My old system was running Windows 7 and had no issues. I don't know if it is the new release of VIRL or Windows 10 or what, but I have so many issues I can't use VIRL right now. To start with, I have the ova file installed in Workstation and when I run VMMaestro from the VIRL server, everything works just as it should. However, when I run VMMaestro on my Windows 10 box (same computer, but on the host operating system) that's where I have problems.
The VMMaestro UI itself looks terrible on both screens (running 3840x2160 resolution and 1920x1080 on another screen). This is mostly a problem with the menus being cut in half so they are barely visible and overlapping. When I try to connect devices, I have to auto-select ports because if I uncheck the "auto" box in preferences, I can select ports on both devices, but it doesn't create the connection. When I finally get everything connected up, I try to build initial configs and select "Build Configuration" I get an error message saying "The following exception occurred while invoking AutoNetkit: Already connected".
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing everything several times, but that hasn't changed anything. What I don't understand is why everything works in the VIRL VM, but nothing works on my Windows 10 o/s that hosts the VM. Is anyone else having these same problems or is there just something funky going on with my machine?
