How do I get the logs out of the Linux Virtual Machine?
If you are running VM Ware Workstation or Fusion, you can drag and drop the files to your local machine.
I do not know Linux and you are asking for logs? What do I do?
You don't need to know Linux to work with it. From the VIRL Virtual Machine Desktop double click on 'xterm' icon and follow these steps:

1. type: sudo virl_health_status > ~/Desktop/virl-health.log

2. drag and drop the file you created from the VIRL virtual machine desktop to your local machine

3. if we need other logs, you can find them by clicking the file browser in the VIRL Virtual Machine and navigating to the logs directory /var/local/virl/logs :

How do I get the logs for VM Maestro?

1. Open VM Maestro
2. Click on Help
3. Click on Generate Problem Report
4. Add notes describing the problem (optional, but helpful)
5. Click on Generate
