How to add a manual static IP address?

I am trying to configure a static IP address on a server. The server I am using is just called SERVER in VIRL design view. Is there a way I can use a PC, and configure the below static IP?

IP Address of 10.0.0.25
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 10.0.0.1

At the moment I am running infrastructure only mode, I will want my server to connect to the L2 External Flat network, as I have bridged my network card / VM.

I have tried a few commands, but they just do not take. I am a complete newb when it comes to a Ubuntu server

Any help would be greatly appreciated
