Hi All, I am new into the Virtualized world, nevertheless trying to learn quickly.
I am running Cisco VIRL in workstation with Ubuntu as the OS.
My query is the Cisco VIRL Network Adapter 1 which is used to connect to the Internet and Host connectivity.
Currently this is set to DHCP and also is set to bridged mode. This setup works fine for me to access internet and obtain IP from my wireless router.
what I want to do is to give it a manual address to this interface (Eth0) from the same pool of the wireless router.
I have also provided a manual address to the Physical server network card which is running Ubuntu.
These address are my address from the Wireless LAN router which is connected to the Internet.
The manual address is working fine on the physical port of the Ubuntu OS and I can connect it to the internet and also ping that address from my other laptop part of the same LAN.

I reason I want to provide a manual address is because my Cisco VIRL is residing in a HP proliant Server and i want to access the labs from my laptop using client VM maestro.

I have tried editing the /etc/interfaces files and changed the the interface from DHCP to manual address with default G/W and DNS servers.
But unfortunately this does not work. i cannot ping from the Ubuntu physical server to the Cisco VIRL VM.I have also tried changing the bridged setting to host only.no luck
I am not sure if I need to modify other settings.

I hope i have clarified my query, hope somebody can help me resolve this.
