Inconsistent behavior when using multicast PIM-DM

The same topology seems to work fine when using PIM-SM, but PIM-DM is giving me a hard time even though it should be easier to set up.

I am more interested in having PIM-SM working, but any feedback/comments will be greatly appreciated
