I created a snapshot of the VIRL VM before I started the upgrade and completed the upgrade successfully. I forgot to consolidate the snapshot, until Saturday night to free up some space on my ESXi partition (120GB SSD), and after I did get the errors stated above

I get into the grub loader and go into Ubuntu, with Linux 3.16.0-53-generic (recovery mode) rather than Ubuntu, with Linux 3.16.0-45-generic (recovery mode)

I then select root to get into the root shell prompt
I then type in fdisk -l and these are the results I get: http://imgur.com/sbA57Gp
I've tried to run sudo xfs_repair on all partitions, but they fail with a fatal error -- couldn't initialize XFS library

Can anyone help me run the XFS repair to see if I can repair VIRL so I do not have to rebuild VIRL?
