How do you install and retrieve a configuration in a non Cisco router? Obvious questions are...
1) Can virl use the telnet console to do this, or do I need to set up a management IP address?
2) How to I tell virl what username and passwords to use?
3) Can I assume that the text in the configuration will be sent after login?
4) How do I tell virl what commands to use to retrieve the configuration?Thanks in advance for your time.

Hello all, I am new in this community.
I didn´t have any problems with virl download and installation, but the big issue is that there is no licence key available (that I can find) to download, so I am completely stuck here, I tried several times going to
https://virl.mediuscorp.com/license-keys/
“My Account” => “License Keys”
but the only files I am able to download are the ova, iso,... files, but no .pem file
Is it an error, or is it because it takes some time to appear? Although if that is the case I find it weird that there are no notes pointing it out.
Hope someone could help me out here, thanks a lot in advance

I don't believe there is, but I'm just confirming. Once you upload a VIRL instance to packet.net there is no way to stop being billed? For example I uploaded my VIRL instance last night and used it for appx. 20 and then did a 'shutdown -h now' via the console. This morning I woke up to have a 4.00 charge on my account verse what I had hoped a .40 charge.
I sort of thought that is what the deadman timer was for in the configuration?

I'm also having problems getting a bare metal install to work. Does you install stall at the login screen of the live DVD?
Since this got split into it's own thread, I'll add more detail.
The system I'm attempting to install on is a Dell R720. Initially I tried mounting the ISO as a virtual disk through the DRAC. The virtual disk froze at the login screen so I had a DVD burned. When the DVD boots I get to the login screen, and can occasionally enter the password. Most of the time the login screen freezes.
The DVD is version 1.0.25 and I just tried 1.0.26 as a virtual disk. Using the DVD I have attempted the Live DVD, as per the instructions, and installing directly.
